Opening for business in 1972, and later moving to eight acres of land at Albany Creek, the original nursery was created around the historic "Day's Cottage" which has pride of place at the entrance to the Albany Creek Centre.
Expansion of the business led to the opening of an even bigger Hawkins Home Garden Living complex at Chandler in 1987. With easy access from the Gateway Motorway, it is ideally situated to cater for gardeners across Brisbane and south-east Queensland.
At Hawkins Home Garden Living, you can select from plants and gardening products of the highest standard. You can also enjoy the delights of decorator emporiums, florist, pot shops, garden artistry, water features, outdoor furniture, pool displays, an art gallery and aquarium. When visiting, you can take time out to relax with family and friends at the Gardener¹s Cafes while enjoying the display gardens.
With more than 40 qualified and experienced staff, the retail centres offer every item needed by the would-be gardener or the serious horticulturalist.
